CGTMSE

Overview

Collateral-free credit support for Micro and Small Enterprises. The Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), established by the Government of India and SIDBI, facilitates easier access to institutional credit for eligible Micro and Small Enterprises.

Under the Scheme

  • The loan is sanctioned and disbursed by an eligible bank, NBFC or financial institution.
  • CGTMSE provides guarantee cover to the lending institution.
  • Eligible credit facilities may be considered without collateral security or third-party guarantee.
  • Both new and existing Micro and Small Enterprises may apply.
  • Approval remains subject to the lender’s credit appraisal, commercial viability and applicable CGTMSE conditions.

Important: CGTMSE does not directly provide any loan, subsidy or financial assistance to an enterprise. It provides guarantee protection to registered Member Lending Institutions.

Key features

  • Eligible enterprises: Micro and Small Enterprises engaged in eligible manufacturing, service and trading activities
  • Eligible facilities: Term Loan, Working Capital, Composite Credit and eligible non-fund-based facilities

A lender may sanction a higher loan; however, CGTMSE protection will remain restricted to the prescribed guarantee ceiling.

  • Persons with Disabilities
  • Agniveer-promoted enterprises
